Students will be invited for an interview at Charles Sturt University for Dental Science based on their UCAT score.

Candidates will be ranked based on their overall UCAT score, and the top-ranked applicants will then be invited for an interview.

Following interview, applicants will be selected for offer based on interview outcome.

At Least 50% of the available places are set aside for those who have significant rural background or who are Indigenous applicants. These applicants will be ranked for interview and offers made separately to other applicants. A supplementary form needs to be submitted during application to apply for this pathway.

Charles Sturt Interview dates, Interview questions and assessment criteria

In the last week of October, applicants are notified if they have been selected for interview.

Interviews will be held across 5 days in late November at the Orange campus of Charles Sturt University. Applicants must attend the interview in person.

The interview will be a panel interview and provides applicants the opportunity to demonstrate their communication skills and to further explore their motivation for undertaking a career in dentistry and their commitment to rural and regional dental practice. Applicant’s problem solving, decision making and spatial awareness skills will also be assessed.

If you have or are expecting to receive an interview offer for Charles Sturt University then you should consider attending a  Medical Interview training session. Register and secure your spot now as MedEntry only accepts a small number of students per session.
