When registering with MedEntry, we recommend avoiding school email addresses and Microsoft email addresses (such as Outlook, Hotmail and Live).
School email addresses
Many school inboxes have high security when it comes to emails from external organisations. Some students in the past have not received important emails from MedEntry because they have used their school email address. Furthermore, school email addresses can be hard to access once you graduate, so this could mean you miss out on important information in the future.
Microsoft emails (eg. Outlook, Hotmail, Live)
Microsoft emails such as Outlook, Hotmail and Live do not guarantee delivery of emails. Emails to such addresses are also often inappropriately marked as spam.
Note: this does not mean that you can’t use Microsoft or school email addresses. Many of our students do, and do not experience any issues. However, it may lead to you missing out on emails which contain important information. Therefore, if possible, we recommend using a different email provider.
If you need to change your accounts email, you may do so from the Home page, under 'Change email / password'.
You can only register once using a particular email address.
If you have forgotten your username and password, you can:
- Click 'Login' and then the 'Forgot your username/password' link
- Contact MedEntry and we will retrieve your username and reset your password
- Use another email address to register (however, note the last year's discount will not be automatically applied unless you use the same details as previously)
If you have registered with an @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, @windowslive.com or @yahoo.com email address, please consider changing your email address as these providers will no longer guarantee delivery of emails (even to your spam or junk folders).
- Please ensure that you are checking the correct inbox (the same email address that you used to register with MedEntry).
- Note that sometimes it can take a few minutes to reach your inbox.
- Please check your email filters and spam/junk folder.
If none of the above work please send an email with your registered email address and username, describing your issue.
When you first register with MedEntry, an email will be sent to the email address you have registered with which contains a username and password. You will need to use this username and password to login to your account.
If you have not received this email, please:
- Ensure you are checking the correct email inbox (the one you used to register with MedEntry)
- Check that the registration email has not ended up in your Junk or Spam folders
If you still have not received the email, it is usually a result of one of the following two issues:
- When you registered with MedEntry, the email address you entered was incorrect or incomplete
- You have registered with a mail service which does not guarantee delivery of emails (eg. hotmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com, qq.com)*.
* Please note: we strongly advise against using a hotmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com or qq.com email address when registering with MedEntry, as these mail services do not guarantee delivery of emails to your mailbox. We recommend using a mail service such as Gmail instead. You can change your registered email address once you are able to log into your account.
Please email us and let us know the email address that you have had problems with. If possible, please also provide an alternate email address. We will be able to check that the registered email address is valid and create a replacement password for you so you can access your learning materials.

There are two main reasons why this may occur:
1. You have registered on one MedEntry website and are filling out the forgot username/password form on a different MedEntry website. Please ensure you have registered and are logging into the correct website (This site is www.medentry.co.nz)
2. When you registered with MedEntry, the email address you entered was incorrect or incomplete. Please try to re-register with your correct email address. Alternatively, please contact us with your correct email address so we can change it on our system. We will also be able to provide you with a new password.
